The Cost of Beauty

I have always felt that the looks that most people have is fine. Of course I'm not against enhancing looks to a point, within reason. I've noticed as I have passed through life that occasionally people have been known to go to extremes to be pretty. Today I have stumbled across this site that has several images and other info on nail art. They have long crazy nails, nail sets that look like a fantasy forest and many more options.

I have wondered at what extreme will people say enough is enough. This particular set of nails looks not only painful for the wearer, but very possibly painful for others who come in contact with them.
